Certification Credits: For those attendees maintaining credentials, please consult the governoring credentialing board for claiming the appropriate number of educational credits. The information provided is an estimate of educational credits that can be claimed, depending on the number of instructional hours attended. The number of contact hours available in technical sessions to each attendee is TBD for the 2026 conference.
1-hr contact time = 0.10 recertifcation points for regular instructional sessions Pre-Conference Professional Development Courses (PDC’s): 8-hr contact time = 0.80 recertification points and 10-hr = 1.00 recertification points The Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BSCP) does not pre-approve courses or seminars for recertification points.
The American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) does not issue CM approvals for educational related programs or conferences. Each diplomat is responsible for determining points based on the guidance published to the ABIH website. All attended technical content are counted based on the number of contact hours attended for the IH/OH, IH/EHS Management, Environmental, Health, and Ethics (if available). 1 Contact hour per hour of instruction. The total contacts hours is 14 which equates to 2.33 CM points under ABIH. Expo = No CM hours (All hours claimed should be rounded down to the closest quarter hour)
PDC’s = 1 CMP (Certification Maintenance Points) for each hour of instruction Conference = 1 CMP for each hour of contact time (5 CMP per day or 20 CMP max) The Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) does not pre-approve courses or seminars for CMP points.
